Vintage casuals working together as union members

Casual workers in the wine industry know that it is important to be a union member.

Matt is a United Voice Delegate, and has worked in the industry for 17 years.

“Union members have worked hard over the years for fair wages and conditions. At the winery where I work, we’ve made sure that casual workers receive the same pay and conditions as everyone else.

“That’s not the only reason casual workers join United Voice: as union members, casual workers have someone in their corner if something goes wrong and can be a part of larger campaigns.

“In the wine industry, right now penalty rates are in the spotlight and union members need to be able to work together to keep our wages and conditions adequate.”
