Last year a new Enterprise Agreement was finalised for the Adelaide Casino. United Voice bargaining representatives were successful in creating a Consultative Committee as part of the new Agreement.

The consultative committee is a forum that can be used to resolve grievances and raise any issues with management. It is made up of United Voice Delegates representing each department, your Union Official, and management.

Throughout the process of setting up the Consultative Committee at the Adelaide Casino, several United Voice members have stepped up as United Voice Delegates and Consultative Committee representatives.

The first meeting of the Consultative Committee is scheduled for April 2016.

Brendan

United Voice Delegate and member of the Consultative Committee

I became a Delegate so workers at the Casino could have a stronger voice. I wanted to be more proactive in getting members’ issues resolved.

I joined the Committee to be more involved in important conversations between workers and management.

Gem

United Voice Delegate

I became a Delegate because I wanted to make a difference for all workers at the Casino.

I try to be accessible to my co-workers if they need advice or help with a specific issue.

Keith

United Voice Delegate and member of the Consultative Committee.

I became a Delegate because I wanted to help protect workers’ rights, and make sure everyone is treated fairly and equally.

That’s why it’s important for us to have a strong Consultative Committee.
